Phyllis had no idea that she was a pawn in Cane’s latest game. He didn’t want to work with her. He only used her to expose their plan to everyone on The Young and the Restless. She found out the truth from Nick.
Consoling Exes
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford, who revealed her favorite Y&R storyline) noticed Nick (Joshua Morrow) hanging out at the park. She wasn’t here for a casual conversation. Phyllis wanted to know what Nick wanted to talk to her about. She pretended that she hadn’t been up to no good with Cane (Billy Flynn).
Nick knows that she’s been involved with him. He’s also aware of Cane’s plans to come after the Newman family. Nick wanted to know if Cane had hired her to use her hacking skills to break into their company. Has Cane been teaching her how to use artificial intelligence?
She backed herself up into a corner, which these top five schemes prove Phyllis is good at doing. Phyllis lied and claimed that she knew nothing about AI. However, she knew she was lying. She offered Cane to do all the work herself and use the A.I. to hack into Newman Enterprises and other companies.
But Nick is worried about Phyllis. He thinks something in her has changed ever since Martin (Christopher Cousins) kidnapped her. He doesn’t want her to end up in prison. But Phyllis claims that she’s keeping her side of the street clean.
Now What?
Nick told Phyllis about his family’s plans to stop Cane. But Phyllis claimed that she hadn’t committed any crimes. She has no plans to hack into Newman, Jabot, or any other GC company. She wouldn’t put herself in such a position. But we all know the truth, and that Phyllis is desperate to do anything for Cane.
But then, Phyllis finally gave up and told Nick everything. She admitted that Cane was willing to put her future at risk. But the plan hasn’t gone anywhere, and he might back out because of his family. Phyllis said that Cane’s sole focus is reconciling with his kids.
Nick thanked her for confessing everything. Once he left the park, she realized that she had been used. She immediately dialed Cane and asked him, “Why didn’t you tell me what you were getting me into?!” Cane knew that Phyllis would confess. She did exactly what he intended.
So, the question now is, what will Phyllis do next? Will she continue to play both sides? Or will she try to side with Cane and encourage him to take down the Newmans? Even if it costs her everything?
